The education at Swedish Equiterapeut Education is
Europe's only 2.5-year training for Equitherapist. There is currently no equivalent education in this field of work.
The training of Equitherapist combines highly qualified theoretical moments with practical exercise. This integration between internship and theory is necessary in the education, when an accredited Equity therapist is expected to go out and work directly after the education.
The close connection between theory and practice takes place within all courses in the education.
Examples of integration between theory and practice are in the field of anatomy, which is one of the most comprehensive courses, this becomes clear. Knowledge of the horse's physiology, soft parts, nerves, cell structures, joints etc. is a prerequisite for the students, together with supervisors, to be able to treat and assess problems based on patterns of movement and behavior in practice. Theory rooms and animal shelters are therefore close to each other.
The same applies to the learning of the different therapies such as manual physical medicine, acupuncture, electromechanics, massage and more.
